Ex-councillor accused of taking indecent photographs

FORMER Maidstone Borough Councillor Simon Anthonisz is to appear before a court on November 10 accused of 16 charges of taking indecent photographs of children.
Mr Anthonisz represented the Marden and Yalding ward for the Conservatives between May 2002 and May 2003 when he did not seek re-election.
The alleged offences are concerned with taking indecent photographs of children over a three-year period between June 2000 and June 2003.
Mr Anthonisz has already made two preliminary appearances before Maidstone magistrates. On October 10 he was remanded on unconditional bail.
Mr Anthonisz, formerly of High Street, Marden, now lives at Flimwell in East Sussex.
