A fan was left with a dislocated shoulder after being high-fived by the lead singer of a rock band at a music festival.

Orange Goblin took to the stage at the Ramblin' Man Fair in Mote Park, Maidstone last weekend.

But it seemed the show on Sunday got slightly out of hand and a fan named Daniel ended up being treated by paramedics.

In a post on the band's Facebook page they wrote: "This is Daniel. Daniel has never seen us before and decided to check us out.

"You may notice he's strapped up, this is what happened in his own words."

The post features a picture of the fan with his arm in a sling holding a guitar.

He told Orange Goblin: " I was in the pit and head banging in the front row and it was awesome.

"Then the big front man came up and was high fiving everyone.

"Me in my shirtless glory and frenzy stuck out my arm for a high five.

"Well, the frontman winds up, cracks the most colossal high five I've ever felt and dislocates my shoulder.

"I have done it before but there was some venom in that.

"The paramedics and the nurse were hot, I was given a ton of drugs and I didn't want to see Foreigner anyway."

The band apologised in the post for the lead singer, Ben Ward's actions, writing: "Get well soon Daniel, sorry Ben broke you a little bit and glad you enjoyed your first OG experience."

The Ramblin Man fair is a three-day-long event which has been taking place at Mote Park for the last five years.

This year thousands flooded the venue to see Foreigner, The Darkness and Airbourne who headlined the festival.

KentOnline approached Orange Goblin for a comment but a representative for the group said: "No, there is nothing to discuss."
