15:00, 28 July 2017
A 28-year-old who was living her dream of being a fashion designer in New York has sadly died after falling from her bed.
Tansy Stowell, who was originally from Maidstone, was found by her boyfriend when he got up to go to the bathroom.
She was bleeding from her head after falling from the loft bed. Police were called to the apartment on Driggs Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, around 8am on Tuesday.
Medics rushed her to the Woodhull Hospital Center but were unable to save her life, and she sadly died later that day.
She had previously worked for Selfridges, and was a pupil at the all-girls Walthamstow Hall in Sevenoaks.
She graduated from UCA in Rochester in 2011, and had been running her freelance business, Tansy Lea Millinery, since 2012.
An autopsy into her death is yet to take place, but investigators believe her death was accidental.
