A man is due in court today after he was charged with assaulting three police officers including strangling one of them.
Zeus O’Sullivan, of Forge Lane, East Farleigh, was taken into custody and later charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and an offence of intentional strangulation following an incident last Friday (Nov 10).
He was also charged with criminal damage, in relation to damage caused to an officer’s glasses.
It happened around 11.30pm when patrols were called to a disturbance outside a property in Forge Lane, East Farleigh.
It is reported that two attending officers were assaulted by a man, who tried to punch one constable and placed her into a chokehold, before kicking another.
The suspect is then reported to have attempted to headbutt a third officer, after backup arrived.
O’Sullivan, 38, is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
