Festive models cause a stir

VISITORS to the Royal British Legion Industries base in Aylesford, near Maidstone, have been wowed by large-scale festive models, including a waving Santa Claus. Workers, the majority of whom are disabled people or ex-servicemen, have been developing designs for the manufacturers of K'nex, a plastic modeling toy.
They have been put on display at toy shops around the UK. A number of the designs, which include snowmen, reindeer, Christmas trees and Santas, have also been put up in the reception area of Royal British Legion Industries at Preston Hall at Aylesford.
Manager Mike Tuohy said: "The models have been causing quite a stir. They're absolutely ingenious."
