18:00, 25 July 2016
A man was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a house fire caused by a faulty electrical device.
Three fire engines - including a water unit - were called to an end-of-terrace home in Hilltop in Hunton, near Maidstone, just after 4.30pm.
The blaze broke out in the roof space of the two-story building.
An ambulance was also called and a man in his 30s was treated before being taken to Maidstone Hospital.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a faulty laptop or Xbox charger.
Kent Fire and Rescue left the scene at around 7.30pm, after checking that the scene was safe.
