Firefighters were called to an electrical fire in the cellar of a house in Maidstone.
Crews were called to the two-storey property in Tonbridge Road at just before 7.30pm last night.
Wearing breathing apparatus, they put the blaze out with a hose reel jet, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
Earlier, at just before 4pm, they were called to Heronden Road in Park Wood, where a large recycling skip was alight. It took two hose reel jets to put that fire out.
