These were the dramatic scenes after a bin store near flats caught fire.
The outbuilding, in River Bank Close, Maidstone, caught fire just after 10.15pm last night.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire using water carried on the fire engine tanks and a hydrant on Square Hill Road.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause is thought to be accidental.
Four metal bins and eight plastic wheelie bins were destroyed by the fire.
