Firefighter hurt in pub blaze

A FIREFIGHTER was injured after two fire crews were called to a pub blaze.
The Maidstone crews went out to The Rose public house in Wheeler Street at 11.30pm last night after a fire began in the saloon area.
One firefighter was injured when he cut his hand, and was taken to hospital for checks.
The fire was dealt with in an hour and a half. Nobody was in the pub at the time.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
