Firefighters rescue three from flat blaze

A WOMAN and two children were taken to hospital today after a fire in a flat in Woodberry Drive at Sittingbourne.
Firefighters were called to the flats in the early hours of the morning. They rescued two adults and two children from the property.
Three of those rescued were taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

A dog died in the fire. and two families in nearby properties had to leave their homes because it was feared the flames would spread.
