Four fire crews were called to a blaze in a converted bungalow in Maidstone this afternoon.
Part of the Ashford Road, leading into the town centre, was blocked off in both directions as crews tended to the fire shortly after 1.30pm.
Four pumps were used to extinguish the flames at the home, which is near a side entrance to Mote Park.
They left the scene shortly before 2.15pm.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews found a converted bungalow with smoke issuing from the roof.
"There were no reported injuries.
"Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a main jet to tackle the blaze."
