Firefighters tackle car blaze in Mill Street, Maidstone, outside the Archbishop's Palace

Crews were called to Maidstone town centre after a car caught fire.
One pump from Kent Fire and Rescue arrived in Mill Street just after 11.50am today to tackle the flames coming from the engine of a Vauxhall Zafira.
One lane was shut outside the Archbishop's Palace while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
Officers from Kent Police were also in attendance.
The female driver was not injured during the incident.
Motorists are advised to expect delays while recovery is arranged.
