Crews put out house blaze in Whitmore Street, Maidstone

Firefighters were called to a house blaze in Maidstone.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the property in Whitmore Street just before 6pm.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to smoke coming from the first floor window.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a ladder to enter the property before extinguishing the small fire.
The exact cause has not yet been confirmed, but is believed to have started accidentally due to an electrical fault.
No casualties were reported.
The crews left at 6.30pm.
