FIREFIGHTERS were called to a kitchen blaze in a house in Glebe Lane, Maidstone, at around 6.45am today.
Two crews spent 45 minutes tackling the fire thought to have been caused by cooker fault.
Despite having no smoke alarms, residents were alerted by their burglar alarm, which was triggered by an electrical fault.
Firefighters said that no one was injured in the incident.
