Fire crews called to kitchen blaze at flat in Union Street, Maidstone

A kitchen blaze is thought to have been started by a faulty toaster.
Fire crews were called to reports of a small kitchen fire at a flat on Union Street in Maidstone earlier this evening.
Two fire engines attended at around 5pm and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported.
The cause is thought to have started by a faulty toaster.
