Police and forensics team cordon off alleyway in Broadway, Maidstone

An alleyway next to a restaurant was cordoned off by the emergency services following an alleged sexual assault.
A police car and a forensics investigation van were seen parked next to the Thai Orchid off of the A20 in Broadway, Maidstone, this morning (August 16).
Officers have since confirmed they were called at around 3.20am to an allegation of a sexual assault in a public area.
They are investigating the incident and inquiries to track down the suspect are ongoing.
As of around 9am the alleyway – which is also close to the crown court complex – had been reopened and the emergency services had left.
