Maidstone: Girl taken to hospital after being hit by a car close to Cherry Tree pub in Tonbridge Road

A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy road in Maidstone.
Emergency services were called to Tonbridge Road, close to the junction with Queen's Road, shortly after 3.30pm.
Paramedics treated the girl who was seen lying on the pavement outside the Cherry Tree pub.
She suffered ankle and leg injuries and was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury for further treatment.
One ambulance and one response vehicle were sent and the road was blocked for a short while.
