Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council has received an award for its approach to health and safety in the workplace.
A Gold award from the Royal Society for the prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) was gifted to them at a ceremony in Birmingham.
The accolade was presented to the Borough Council’s Health and Safety Officer, Bill Parkinson, at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre.
Mr Parkinson said: “The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work, they are also about making sure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.
“We are absolutely committed to maintaining the highest levels of performance in this crucial area.”
