Maidstone: Hole opens up in Upper Fant Road
14:00, 03 July 2017
Upper Fant Road in Maidstone has been closed after a hole opened up in the carriageway.
The route is currently blocked in both directions near the turnings to Whitmore Street and St Michaels Road.
Diversions have been put in place.
As a result, Nu-Venture's number one bus cannot serve Hackney Road, Upper Fant Road or Douglas Road and will only stop in Gatland Lane.
Arriva's number eight bus will also not be serving the area at all.
Dover Street was also closed today for sewer works and will remain shut until July 18.
