Horse dies after being found in Lenham Road, Headcorn, after harness race

Police are investigating the death of a horse, found in Headcorn, which they believe took part in a harness race.
The animal was discovered in Lenham Road at 12.44pm today.
Witness reported seeing the horse drop to the ground on a sharp bend in the road.

One observer estimated the animal was no more than three years old.
Officers and the RSPCA were called but the horse has since died.
Police are now investigating.
A harness race typically involves a horse pulling a two-wheeled cart.
