A popular fundraising event for the Heart of Kent Hospice will go ahead despite the challenges of the pandemic.
Although the unique circumstances mean the annual Moonlit Walk can not set off from the doors of the hospice in Aylesford, walkers are still urged to get involved.
Organisers have dreamt up a special version of the fundraiser to allow both individuals and small groups to take part while still respecting social distancing.
So for this year's walk on October 10 the hospice is asking people to sign up and walk with loved ones in their household, family or friendship bubble.
While out walking and raising cash, participants are encouraged to reflect, celebrate, and remember a loved one, all while knowing they are united with hundreds of other walkers raising vital funds for their local hospice.
Hospice events manager Sarah Raine said: "Now, more than ever, the hospice needs your support as the coronavirus pandemic has had a detrimental impact on our ability to fundraise.
"So help us to support our patients, their families and carers by taking part in this special version of our annual walk.
"We want to see our community come together - so look out for fellow Moonlit walkers wearing their special t-shirts and feel free to shout hello, wave and encourage them."
To take part in October people can choose to walk any route between 1-10km at any time between 10am and 10pm.
