A huge police search involving the helicopter was launched after concerns were raised about a man and his baby.
Officers descended on Maidstone this afternoon after the alarm was raised.
Search teams were called to the Hermitage Lane area to look for the pair, with officers seen scouring the area.
They were safely found a short time later.
One witness said the force's helicopter was hovering overhead for about an hour.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to the Hermitage Lane area of Maidstone at 4pm on Sunday 4 September 2022 following concern for a man and his child.
"Officers attended and the man and child were safely located."
