Thirteen in custody on suspicion of immigration offences after Kent Police was called A249 in Detling

Thirteen people have today been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
The group was stopped by police on the A249 Detling Hill at about 11am.
Police said they had received a report of "suspicious people" in a lay-by on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway.
The incident is now being dealt with by Home Office immigration officials.
