Immigration officers reportedly raid Buddha Belly in Maidstone

Immigration officers reportedly raided a popular restaurant in the centre of Maidstone.
Three Home Office Immigration Enforcement vehicles could be seen parked in the High Street.
It is understood officers were carrying out checks on staff at the Buddha Belly restaurant on the corner of the road and Pudding Lane.
The restaurant which offers food from Europe to Far East Asia, serves, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese and Italian cuisine served from open kitchen and also has DJs.
It is understood the vans turned up shortly before 6pm.
KentOnline called the restaurant for a comment, but no one could be reached to provide one.
The Home Office has also been contacted.
