ABOUT 500 people from across the county attended a reception hosted by the chairman of Kent County Council, Cllr Chris Capon, at Leeds Castle near Maidstone.

The annual reception is arranged as a thank you for the efforts of people in the civic, business and voluntary sectors.

Guests this year included borough Mayors and business and civic leaders and leader of the county council, Cllr Sandy Bruce-Lockhart.
