Man from Yalding charged after kilo block of cocaine seized in Boughton Monchelsea near Maidstone

A man has been charged after police found a large block of cocaine.
The drugs, weighing more than one kilogram, was found in a property in the Wierton Road area of Boughton Monchelsea, near Maidstone, at about 1.30pm on Friday.
Robert Edwards, 51, of Lyngs Close, Yalding, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on December 4.
The street value of the seizure could be up to about £75,000.
