A crash involving a pick-up truck and a small car blocked a lane on a busy roundabout.

Traffic was being filtered slowly in the inside lane of the A20 Lenham roundabout towards Leeds Castle as a result of the two vehicles blocking the other lane.

Police were called at 4.20pm along with ambulance and fire crews and closed the whole left lane on the junction close to the Maidstone Services.

Drivers were being told to expect delays.

A police spokesman said: “This was a collision involving two vehicles. Officers attended along with fire and ambulance crews and there were no reported injuries.”

A fire spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a crash involving two cars at 4.23pm.

"One fire engine attended and on arrival everyone was out of the vehicles. Duty of care was left with South East Coast Ambulance and Highways England.”

The single crew stood down at 4.34pm.
