A249: Crash between Castle Hill and Chalky Road
11:44, 03 July 2017
A busy A road has reopened after a crash.
It is thought a trailer became detached from a vehicle while travelling on the Sittingbourne-bound A249, Detling Hill.
It happened at around 9.40am, according to a police spokesman, and affected traffic between Maidstone and Sittingbourne.
Delays remained heavy in the area between the Shell petrol station near the White Horse Wood turn off and Chalky Road for the South Street turn off.
Queues had cleared by midday.
There were no serious injuries reported.
