A crash damaged part of a barrier on the M20 through the Operation Brock contraflow.
All lanes have since reopened following the incident shortly after 5am with repairs taking several hours to complete on the London-bound carriageway between Ashford and Maidstone.
The vehicle crashed through the barrier into a ditch but it has not been confirmed whether anyone was injured.
One lane had to be closed while work took place.
National Highways warned there will be "protracted recovery and repair operation so expect delays" and initially said it could take until after 1pm.
But shortly before 10.30am the road had fully reopened.
