Kent Highways have dispatched an engineer to deal with the failure of a set of pedestrian traffic lights, near the A249 Sittingbourne Road.

The failure has added to delays already building as a result of the morning rush hour.

There is queuing traffic near Jade's Crossing on the A249 and also in the Penenden Heath area heading into Maidstone town centre.

Avoid the area if possible.
