The first photographs of the new McDonald’s restaurant in Maidstone are now available to see online.

KentOnline visited the Hart Street branch, which also features a drive-thru, this morning to catch a glimpse ahead of its opening at 11am on Wednesday, May 13.

Franchisee Ali El Hajj, who runs the two existing McDonald’s in Maidstone, is recruiting 120 new staff for the new store which will be open from 6am to midnight every day.

He said: “As a local businessman, I’m proud to be investing in Maidstone and I'm very pleased to be able to offer exciting employment opportunities through the creation of a significant number of new jobs.

“We take great pride in investing in our staff at McDonald’s and providing them with a wide variety of development opportunities.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the new employees to the business.”

The new restaurant is modelled on one of McDonald’s new designs, with two order points in the drive-thru to help provide quick service.

Inside there will be a selection of Samsung tablets on the tables as well as free wi-fi.

There will also be digital menu boards and self order kiosks.
