POLICE are investigating after looters ransacked a house extensively damaged three weeks ago in an arson attack.
Thieves broke into the fire-ravaged home, in Lincoln Road, Shepway, Maidstone, after kicking through a wooden panel fixed by metal bolts to the melted kitchen door.
A computer, DVD player and bread maker, stored temporarily in a downstairs room, were among items discovered to be missing by owner Lisa Cross..
A piggy bank containing £10 – saved from pocket money by her husband Tony’s 10-year old son towards a holiday – was also taken.
Mrs Cross, said: “I am disgusted that anybody in their right mind, after seeing what happened to our home, would do this.
“It adds insult to injury.”
The couple fled the blaze at their home, on May 30 with their six-month old son William.
* A man in his 40s and a 16-year old boy, both from Maidstone, have been arrested in connection with the break-in.
