Overrunning roadworks are causing long delays the M20 this morning.
The London-bound M20 is snarled up between Junction 7 for Maidstone and Junction 4 for Snodland.
The congestion is also sparking delays on the A249, with motorists suffering lengthy hold-ups as they head down Detling Hill towards Junction 7.
Kent Highways says the reason for the delays is overrunning night-time roadworks on the M20.
The roadworks were due to be lifted at 6am.
The M20 has now reopened but there are still long tailbacks.
There are also queues on the M2 from junction 1 for Strood and the Bean Interchange.
