A Macaw which was on the loose in Maidstone is now safely in the care of the RSPCA.
The long-tailed parrot was spotted at Cobtree Golf Course, near Sandling, on Sunday.
The sighting was subsequently reported on an online lost bird page, alongside a photo of the colourful bird, and a woman who had lost a similar animal got in touch with the course.
A spokesman for the RSPCA said: "The RSPCA collected a Catalina Macaw in the Blue Bell Hill area of Kent on Sunday - it is currently being cared for at a clinic.
"Anyone with any information is invited to call the RSPCA inspector appeal line on 0300 123 8018."
Native to Mexico, South and Central America, Macaws are commonly kept as pets.
Wild species of the bird are known to forage for up to 62 miles for food.
