COMEDIAN and television personality Bob Mortimer was in the County Town on Thursday filming a new comedy programme.

The star of BBC’s Shooting Stars and Vic Reeve’s Big Night Out was at the fashion shop, Raffles, in the Royal Star Arcade, Maidstone, filming a new BBC3 comedy sketch programme called Tittybangbang due to be aired at the beginning of next year.

Raffles owner Michael Caine said he was "excited" to welcome the star to his shop and added: "He is a very down to earth and friendly character."
