How can we make Maidstone greener?

Today is the start of Maidstone Goes Green week, dedicated to making the town an environmentally healthier place to live.

It will include exhibitions at Fremlin Walk, the Mall Chequers and the Royal Star Arcade on recycling, composting and sustainable living.

Maidstone Town Centre Management will use the week to promote its jute shopping bags - which are intended to replace plastic bags in the County Town - and KCC will extend its Freedom Pass scheme to Maidstone, offering unlimited travel to children aged 11-16 for £50 a year.

But what would you do to make Maidstone greener?
