The Scouting movement's famous motto is be prepared.
It's advice I would do well to heed, for I simply wasn't prepared for the incredible performances courtesy of Maidstone Gang Show at The Hazlitt Theatre this week.
If you want a memorable night of music, magic, sketches and singing, you'd do well to see if there are any tickets available for the final three shows.
It's two-and-a-half hours of life-affirming fun that beats sitting in front of the box any day of the week.
Go and see what our young - and the young at heart - are achieving in our borough and you'll leave with an overwhelming sense of pride and, more importantly than that, you'll give your support to something incredibly worthwhile and meaningful.
Being a member of the Gang Show audience was a first-time experience for me - though I somehow doubt it will be my last.
Maidstone Scouts - you did the borough proud.
Catch the Gang Show at the Hazlitt Theatre in Earl Street, Maidstone. Two performances will take place at 7.30pm tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday). A matinee will also be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 2.30pm.
