Maidstone United player-manager Jay Saunders says he is prepared to wait before landing a striker to bolster his new-look squad.
The Stones are preparing for the Ryman League Division 1 South season with only two recognised forwards, summer arrivals from Margate Alex Waugh and James Pinnock, on their books.
Saunders (pictured) said: "I’m looking around but we’re still waiting.
"I am happy to go in with Pinno and Alex, but it would be good to have some back-up and I’m sure something will turn up.
"A lot of players are out on trial at higher level clubs at the moment and over time they might become available so I’m not too concerned."
