A man has appeared in court accused of stalking a woman he met through work.
It is alleged Matthew Grima, 44, left the woman numerous messages and waited outside her place of work before confronting her.
The victim contacted police to report she had been receiving unwanted attention from the Maidstone man she met through her job between May and July.
Grima, of King Street in the town centre, was arrested on July 27 and charged with stalking and causing serious alarm and distress.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and where he was remanded in custody.
The next hearing will be at the same court on August 25.
