Maidstone man charged after Easter eggs and alcohol stolen from Tesco and Poundland stores

A 40-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of theft including looting Easter eggs from a supermarket.
Robert Fletcher, of Broadway, Maidstone is accused of stealing the chocolate from Tesco in Tonbridge Road on March 17.
It is alleged he also stole alcohol valued at almost £200 from a different Tesco in Farleigh Hill on February 26.
Another theft is believed to have taken place at Poundland in Week Street on March 21.
A customer reportedly left the shop without paying for food including confectionary goods.
Police arrested Fletcher in Lower Stone Street yesterday (May 10).
He was later charged with three counts of theft.
Fletcher was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
