A man accused of firearms offences and assault has appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.
Hon Cheong Chu, of Tarragon Road, Barming, Maidstone, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, possessing a prohibited firearm and possessing ammunition.
The 55-year-old, who was assisted by an interpreter during the brief preliminary hearing by TV link with Elmley Prison, Sheppey, was remanded in custody until July 9, when he is expected to enter pleas.
He was arrested on March 26 after armed police raided his home and cordoned off surrounding roads for almost two hours.
The area in Barming is known locally as the herb estate.
