Man arrested after 'disturbance'

A 40-year-old Maidstone man has been arrested for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence following an incident in Maidstone early this morning, Sunday, January 15.
A member of the public called Kent Police at 11.55pm last night reporting that there was a man in Sheals Crescent with what appeared to be a firearm.
Officers attended the scene, including the police helicopter, and a short while later a man was arrested. He was still being held in police custody at 12.30pm on Sunday.
