A drunk man was arrested after reportedly being abusive to people walking past him and assaulting police officers.
Police took Brett Courtney-Borland in last Friday after being called to Week Street, Maidstone.
Later the same day, the suspect was taken to hospital for medical attention where it is alleged a curtain was spat on and another officer assaulted.
It is also alleged persistent violent threats were also made towards those present.
Courtney-Borland, of Hayle Road, Maidstone, was later charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, a public order offence and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
The 33-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was bailed to a hearing at the same court on April 12.
