Police investigating a burglary in Maidstone have charged a man.

Leon Holder, 28, of Fairview, Hawkhurst was arrested on Sunday after the alleged incident in Penhurst Close, Weavering.

He was later charged with burglary, criminal damage, assault, using violence to secure entry and two counts of assaulting a police officer.

Holder appeared before magistrates on Monday where he was remanded to prison. His next court appearance has not yet been confirmed.
