Maidstone man charged after stabbing in Knightrider Street

A man has been charged by detectives investigating the stabbing of a man inside a property.
Emergency services were called to an address in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, following reports of an assault.
Officers attended the scene at around 2.30pm on Wednesday where a man was found with a single injury consistent with a stab wound.
He was taken to a London hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
A man was arrested later the same day and taken into custody.
Stephen Jenkins, of Knightrider Street, Maidstone has since been charged with wounding.
He was also charged with a count of criminal damage to a phone at the police station and two thefts related to unconnected incidents.
On Friday, the 47-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on January 13 2023.
The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
