Paul Payne charged with alleged burglary at jewellery shop in Gabriel's Hill, Maidstone

A man has been charged with burglary after alleged trying to force his way into a Maidstone jewellers.
It is alleged a man forced his way into a jewellers in Gabriel's Hill at 8.15am on March 9.
Passers-by are said to have challenged the alleged burglar, but he fled the scene before police arrived.
Paul Payne, 51, of Gabriel's Hill was arrested on Tuesday.
He was later charged with burglary and two counts of assault, as well as possession of heroin and cannabis.
He will appear at Medway Magistrates Court today.
