Man charged after woman allegedly raped in alleyway off Gabriel’s Hill, Maidstone

A man has been charged after a woman was allegedly raped in an alleyway.
The incident happened in Gabriel’s Hill, Maidstone, on Saturday, September 23.
It is alleged a woman entered an alleyway halfway up the hill and was raped by a stranger between 4.15am and 4.30am.
At around 1.40am on Saturday, September 30, a suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
The next day, Hosam Mohammad Hassan, of Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, was charged with rape.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (October 2).
Police are appealing for witnesses and are urging anybody with information which may assist the investigation to call them on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/171507/23.
