A man has been charged after a fire at Maidstone Crown Court.
Police were called on Friday, April 1 to reports of a letterbox being damaged by a blaze at the site in Barker Road.
Noel Hiles, from Sutton Road, Maidstone, was arrested on Monday, April 11, and was charged on Friday.
CCTV cameras recorded images of a man pouring a liquid through the letterbox at the court.
There was reportedly no mail in the boxes, otherwise the fire could have spread further.
No injuries were reported and damage to the building was minimal.
He was released on bail and will appear before Maidstone magistrates on Friday, October 14.
