Dale Cooper, 54 and of no fixed abode charged with assaulting police officer

A Maidstone man has been charged with threatening residents and assaulting a police officer.
Dale Cooper, who is homeless, was arrested in Week Street just before 6pm last night after a disturbance.
The 54-year-old was reported to be swearing at passers-by.
After being taken into custody he then allegedly kicked a police officer.
Cooper has also been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
