Maidstone man charged with burglary and assaulting emergency worker

A man has been charged with burglary and assaulting an emergency worker.
Police were called after a reported intruder at a property in Lushington Road, Ringlestone at around 10am on Sunday.
Jason Higgins of Milton Street, Maidstone was arrested later the same day.
Officers also seized power tools and letters.
The 49-year-old was later charged with burglary and also with assaulting an emergency worker at Maidstone police station.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was conditionally bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on April 17.
